After all these years I’ve considered switching my host (if that’s the term for this) from Blogger to WordPress, I’m testing out the leap.

I hadn’t realized how easy of a move it is, but now that I took my idea seriously, I’ve already got a transitional test up over there that’s lacking all the customizations I’ve made over the years (including or especially those I’ve made during the last week). And for those of you who know the difference, it’s wordpress.com I’m switching to for the moment, not wordpress.org (yes, I know that’s kind of silly).

You may wonder why I’d switch or you may not. In all my years, blogger has proven capable of everything wordpress does, but you have to really experiment around with how to do things. WordPress is cleaner, simpler, and all-around more user-friendly in my eyes. That’s not to say I dislike blogger, because I don’t – nor does it mean I like wordpress – but I’ve wanted to transition for a least a year now. I’ve never switched hosts for anything, so today’s as good as any day to try the switch.

If you notice anything not working over there, PLEASE let me know. Once everything is up and working over there, I intend to make a complete switch, but until then, I guess I’ll keep posting here? Or maybe there? Or somewhere in the outer-cosmoses?
