Changes in the Wind

If you came here reading based upon the title, you probably think I’m going to talk about the ever-changing world or something of that sort.

You’re wrong.
You can thank me for how wrong you are, and no I’m not really calling you stupid or foolish.
Anyone who’s watched my social media habits should recognize the ever-changing nature of much that I socially do. You’ve probably seen me add one account or another over the passing of time. Likewise, especially here on tdspeirs.com, you’ve likely seen my site change over the years (but not on a timetable).
Here I am to tell you more changes are in the wind. You already know about the Amazon Affiliate program and my intention to post weekly “Book of the Week”s, and you may have seen minor tweaks to this site during the last couple months, but I’m churning through all of my social media right now with the goal of making it work more efficiently, cleanly, and…well, to give it a general overhaul. Consider it my Spring social media cleaning.
You will continue to see minor changes to this site, and I may even tell you about some.
Yesterday I created an Instagram account finally, and I discovered the wonders it beholds. In tandem with that, whereas I’ve been sitting down and batch-editing numerous photos of mine, posting them on tumblr in a queue, now I intend to use my instagram account to post to there and tumblr. I’ll still post more photos on tumblr than instagram – at least I intend to (I want to post only my really good ones to instagram), but once I’ve gotten through my current backlog of photos, I intend to find a good picture per day to post. We’ll see how that goes.
Also, after many long years of not understanding how to use it, I think I’m getting a hang of Twitter. Hashtag sweet!
I created a youtube account a while back, and while I’ve got not videos up there – someday. Someday would have arrived a whole lot sooner but Windows Movie Maker decided to completely mess up my first video right when I finished it. I thought my backups were working until I went back and played them. Someday.
Of course there’s always the good ol’ Facebook – has it been around long enough to call “ol’?”
I have a few other social media accounts floating around in the great abyss but the ones I mentioned are the main, real T. D. Speirs type. I figured it’d be good to let you know. For some reason. Maybe you want to stalk me or something stupid creepy?
