You remember me? I’m the owner of this blog/site, and you may have read my posts before. But it’s been a month and a half, and I’ve done a lot of tearing down, thinking and growing during that time. It’s about time I get back to writing.
I went on a road trip with some friends for two weeks. We headed out to Topeka, KS and then on to Tennessee. Most people wonder what kind or moron goes to those places for a roadtrip – why not California, or NYC or Washington D. C.? Well, one friend is from Kansas and one is from Tennessee, so go figure, our road trip was an excuse to visit people. I did not take my laptop on the road trip and glad I didn’t. That gave me time to think about writing habits and plot problems, and why I have struggled to write all summer. It also allowed me to get a deeper view into the lives of my friends – if only for that reason, I’m glad I didn’t take the laptop.
But now I’m back in school and life is beginning regain order. That should be healthy for my writing as it’s not so much order that I have to compromise one thing or the other.
You can expect a few posts over the course of this next week or so. I intend to finish the history of my writing life soon, and I’ve got a few blog posts that are best posted sooner rather than later for continuity’s sake. But for now I’m signing off.
