I write as “T. D. Speirs” but people know me by their own variation of the name “Tim,” and yes, “there are some who call me…Tim.”

Ever since second grade I have loved the magic of the written word: the creation, the play on words, the stories that can be told. Ever since eighth grade I have needed to write.

I write realistic fiction and fantasy for middle grade kids, and I also delve into poetry, science fiction and short stories.

Beyond writing, I substitute teach for local school districts, I volunteer with foster kids, I garden and I read.
