I write as “T. D. Speirs” but people know me by their own variation of the name “Tim,” and yes, “there are some who call me…Tim.”

Ever since second grade I have loved the magic of the written word: the creation, the play on words, the stories that can be told. Ever since eighth grade I have needed to write.

I write realistic fiction and fantasy for middle grade kids, and I also delve into poetry, adult science fiction and fantasy, and short stories. With six novels under my belt, I hope to become a published author in the near future.

Beyond writing, I substitute teach for local school districts and volunteer with foster kids. When not doing any of that, I’m usually found reading, writing, or gardening.
